Anatolia, 18-30, Russian/Eastern European, born to a poor but loving family, has been tricked, drugged, and thrown into a life of forced prostitution. Her spirit and memories of her prior life keep her from accepting her lot in life.

3. Female / 18-24 yrs. / Any Ethnicity.
Mary, 18-30, open to all ethnicities, with a mysterious past, Mary tries to navigate the underground world of human trafficking and while keeping her integrity intact.

4. Male / 41-50 yrs. / Any Ethnicity.
Mr. Zubov, the ringleader of a human trafficking organization, Zubov is cold and demanding of respect.

Hello all! We’re a team of 5 final-yr students from Ngee Ann Poly’s Film, Sound & Video course. We’ll be producing our thesis short film, a musical set in a supermarket

(Brief Outline) An introverted supermarket cashier (Ah Mann), who has fallen in love with a female regular patron (Jamie), has one last night to profess his love for her just before the supermarket closes down. The bashful Ah Mann has a song in his heart that he can never seem to complete. The closely-knit supermarket staff come together in one accord to help him in the completion of this song-However, it is Jamie who holds the key to the song’s finale.

Seeking varying casts for this short film musical. ANYONE can apply, regardless of gender, age, religion, race! Esp if you enjoy singing, dancing & acting, we welcome you to come down for our audition frm 17-18th Sept 2008. Numerous supporting roles like supermarket workers, patrons, singers, dancers etc. Filming stipulated between end Oct 2008-Mid-Nov 2008. To be confirmed.

NYU Student Film seeking Backgrounds (NY)

Looking for men and women beyond the age of twenty to play minglers, dancers, and romancers in this comedy about a high school reunion gone seriously wrong. This will be a great opportunity to dress up fancy and drink fake martinis.

This is an NYU Advanced Thesis Production to be shot on the Red camera, and this short film will be submitted to festivals. SAG actors are welcome, and encouraged to come out.

The shoot nights are Monday the 22nd, Tuesday the 23rd, Wednesday t he 24th, Thursday the 25th; each night from 2-10 pm (which ever night you are available for is fine). Wednesday night will be a large slow dance scene that will melt anyone’s heart.

The scenes will be filmed in a reception hall in Brooklyn.

Open Call for THE BOYS NEXT DOOR, Saturday 9/13 (NY)

New York City Based Theatre Company is casting a non-union production of Tom Griffin’s touching comedy THE BOYS NEXT DOOR.

Open call will be held this Saturday, September 13 from 11AM-3PM at the Lafayette Theatre on 45 Bleeker Street between Lafayette and Bowery. Sign up begins at 10:45. Please bring a headshot and resume.

We are casting the roles of “Jack”, “Norman”, and 1 actor to play multiple roles including “Mr. Klemper”. Sides will be provided at the audition!

“Wrestle U” (NJ)

Showcase Films (Based out of Sayreville, NJ) is very pleased to announce its sophomore project will begin production THIS January.

“Wrestle U” is a teen sitcom (in the tradition of Saved by the Bell, Drake & Josh, and iCarly) about a group of friends that balance the drama of high school with the exciting and unpredictable world of professional wrestling.

Filming the pilot episode of “Wrestle U” will take place in January, but casting and rehearsals will begin this November.
