Actress Sheena Chau told me herself: “I’m not just another chinky-eyed martial artist, damn it!” And she’s not. She can play any role from comedy to drama to print and commercial ads. But she’ll do martial artist assassin type characters if you ask nicely. And then she will karate chop your face in half. You’ll see her soon in Apple college print ads, the recent “Meet the Spartans”, T-mobile commercials and more. But you’ll probably remember her as the Herbal Essence Asian girl w/ blonde hair. YAH! Sheena also has great movie tastes to boot, including Bamboozled, Battle Royale, Cinema Paradiso, Ali G and Borat. I always said that you can judge a lot about a person by their movie tastes, and anyone that knows the quote “I am big….like Pepsi can” is cool in my book. “Very Nice! Tight! Like a man’s anus!”

“Meet The Spartans” is out in theaters right now. I’m in the Deal or No Deal scene with case number 8 (middle row, right side) as well as the Paris Hilton (look-alike) scene with the half naked harem of hot women. I think I’m the only Asian girl.. so you can’t miss me.. unless you blink.

Some news sources are saying that Michael Sungman Cho was armed with a crowbar.. going to a liquor store at 2pm (yes, daytime) on NYE.. and that he made a move as if to attack the police officers. That is complete bullshit. I am a friend of Mike’s.. and in every English article I’ve read.. there is absolutely no mention of his physical condition. He had a leg condition and walked with a limp. There is no way he’s charging at the police. I don’t read Korean.. but from the pictures in the Korean article.. it looks like Mike was Not armed.. and Not charging at the police. In fact, it looks like he is walking away.

The police were responding to a graffiti and/or vandalizing call.. Why do they show up with their guns drawn??! They then shoot (rumors are 10+ times) a handicapped man. Are you serious? Michael Sungman Cho, better known as Mike Cho, was not affiliated with gangs and was an intelligent, very artistically talented, all around great human being. He was a good-natured UCLA alum and had a very bright future ahead of him. So what really happened? Why did the police shoot and kill an amazing and loved man? Please help spread the word and bring light to this injustice.

If you were a witness to this police brutality, please please email me with any and all info you can remember.

R.I.P. Mike Cho

There is a gathering tomorrow (Jan 5) 5PM for Michael Sungman Cho at Seven Gold Liquor Store – 545 W. Whittier Blvd.; La Habra, CA.

I came to the U.S. at 5, and lived with my mom. My parents had divorced already, and my brother lived with my dad, while I was to live with my mom. Alright, I think this is all getting too boring. So I’m going to jump ahead to high school. I loved high school! The first two years weren’t too great though, because my mom was Very strict. I was only allowed to talk on the phone one hour a day, and that was the worst because that’s all a 15 year old girl wants to do! I could only go out one day out of the weekend and my curfew was like 10 PM or something. I felt like I was in jail. I couldn’t sleep over at friends’ houses or go over to their houses after school.. nothing! After much suffocation of being trapped at home, with no Internet and no phone usage, I found other ways to use my time. I decided to become more involved in school. After all, colleges do love it! haha But that wasn’t the only reason I involved myself in the extracurricular activities. I became the Treasurer of Chinese Culture Club and applied to be in the student government. Next thing I knew, I was the Co-Commissioner of Academics. Sounds nerdy, huh! :)

My partner and I’s job was to promote Academics in our school by providing incentives to those who get good grades and to those who improve academically. We went around to businesses in our community and asked for discounts for our students who achieved in academics. It was actually a lot of fun. We were also in charge of putting together a pep rally to honor the students! Cool huh. haha

My mom was still strict, but let me go out to do the “school stuff”. The year after, I became the Vice President of the school and the President of Chinese Culture Club. Wow, mucho nerd. Don’t worry, I wasn’t just one of those “school is my life” people, I still had friends! haha.

I got sick of the life I had at home. My mom was way too strict. I just couldn’t take it anymore. I hated not being able to do what I wanted to do. I was always very independent, and because of that, all those rules and regulations made me feel trapped. When my mom stopped giving me allowance (those were the good times!), I decided to just rebel. After all, I had nothing to lose! So I just went out whenever I wanted, came back whenever I wanted, sometimes not coming home at all. She was Pissed for a while, but she couldn’t do anything about it. I just didn’t listen and didn’t care anymore. I could block out all the yelling and anger, and just leave.

Life was great being able to do as I pleased. But I needed money. I worked in the Student Store at school during brunch and lunch, tutored after school, and worked at Red Lobster on the weekends. There went my social life! After my mom broke up with her boyfriend who lived with us, she started going out almost every night with her friends. No more dinner at home! So basically, other than the room she provided me to sleep in, I was on my own. Everything that I wanted and/or needed, whether it be clothes, food, school stuff, anything, I had to buy on my own. It was hard, but I lived.

Now comes college. I went to UCLA for Economics (because you know, us Asians gotta have that “safe” degree). I hated school, but loved UCLA. I’m extremely proud of our football and basketball teams. (*update* On 12.02.06 UCLA upsets USC 13-9. Best game Ever.) GO BRUINS!!!

I was introduced to acting in high school. I took a drama class and fell in love. Although this industry is rough.. it’s where my heart lies. So why do I want to be an actor? I love stories. I always get waaay into the characters in films or TV shows. For the 2 hours or the half hour.. I’m living their lives. When they’re happy, I’m happy. When they’re sad, I cry too. I love that these stories on screen can create such great emotion in the audience. I would love to be a part of that.. to give to the world what the screen has given me.. Is that a stupid reason?

This brings us to the present. This was a brief autobio.. so if there’s anything you’d like to know about me, just email me. Thanks for reading!!
