I have been receiving a lot of questions regarding dry, flaky skin, so I thought I would tell you my secret to achieve the look of ultra smooth skin for your face.

With the cold weather season just around the corner, dry skin worsens and it seems no matter how much lotion you apply to your face, your face remains tight and dry. I don’t have the perfect remedy for dry skin, however, I do have a trick to help you conceal it.

My weapon is applying the Ultimatte, a product I created, to your skin before applying foundation or powder. The Ultimatte is a silicone-based formula gel, which acts as a protective lubricant between your skin and the make-up. The Ultimatte does not clog pores and glides on your skin to fill in pores and fine lines giving your skin a flawless complexion. I use the Ultimatte on my face everyday and it is a must on models for photoshoots and videos.

After applying the Ultimatte to your skin, apply your foundation, then set it with powder and a hint of blush and you are set to go.

This Season’s Trends

Skin: Flawless and glowing face
Use a highlighting powder or highlighting stick on top of foundation and powder to achieve a healthy glow.

Cheeks: Peachy, matte or shimmery
Peach shades, especially on yellow toned skin, will make you look warm and flushed during the cold season. Many women skip the step of applying blush, but blush adds definition and a hint of color to your face in just one swoop.

Eyes and Lips: Match them up or go dramatic
If you are applying gold shades to your eyes, you can also apply gold color to your lips. The model in yellow is wearing Katie B’s Mineral Pigments in Gold Leaf and Sugarcoat Gloss in Fierce. Match up the color of your eyes and lips.
Neutral eye shadow colors in brown/earth tones and dark-colored lips in red shades are hot for this season. The model in the red dress is wearing Katie B’s new Mineral Pressed Shadows and Katie B’s Sugarcoat Gloss in Siren or Spicy.

Hair: Big sexy hair is always in
For the fall/winter going darker in better. The model wearing blue has red highlights with black base all around. The model is also wearing Katie B’s 18 Inch Clip On Hair Extensions in Soft Black.

Jewelry: The classics, gold and pearls
Don’t be afraid mix and match this season. If you have snakeskin boots in your closet, try wearing them with a classic Roman print top. If you have a big chunky necklace, try it with a pair of pearl earrings.
